Let Your Light So Shine…….

The days continue to grow dark. Abba (Daddy God) has called us to be salt and light. 2 cor. 4:6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ”.

1 John 1: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

We know intellectually we have His light in us.
How do we act on that knowledge through our individual Spirits?

A diamond gets its brilliance from light entering its innermost part and
refracts that light off and through its myriad facets. There is a part of the diamond that is called the pavilion. It is a like the floor of the diamond. When the diamond is cut the pavilion must have an exact depth. If it is too shallow or too deep, it will not maximize the refraction of light through its facets. Our pavilion is the very core of our spiritual beings.

How can we be like a brilliant, sparkling diamond? Do we have facets too?
Yes we do. They consist of the knowledge of His manifold blessings:

The joy of being His child,
The joy of knowing we are eternally saved because of what Yeshua has done for us.
The joy of feeding upon His Holy Word and drinking the Living Water He so freely gives us through Yeshua.
The joy of knowing no matter how great or small our sins are, He forgives us when we confess them and those sins are remembered no more.
Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
Isaiah 1:18

The joy of knowing Yeshua is as near as the speaking of His name
The joy of knowing we can come boldly before Him, before His throne of grace.

The joy of knowing the angels themselves marvel at us as we trod our earthly paths..1 Cor. 4: 9 “We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to men”.
They look on as we endure various trials and testings….but with prayers and perseverance we prevail (2 Cor. 4- ) “But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

Romans 8:36
As it is written: “For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

I believe the angels think we are amazing……and I think so too.
I do not say this so that we can puff ourselves up but rather to encourage
us to continue to walk after holiness and purity because He has enabled us to do so.

Scriptures that speak of G-d’s light in us are many….here are some of them:

Isaiah 42: 6 “I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people
and a light for the Gentiles”

Isaiah 60: 3 “Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”

John 3:21 “But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”a]

John 12: 36 “Put your trust in the light while you have it, so that you may become sons of light.”

1 Thess. 5: 5 “You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness”.

1 John 2:10 “Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble”.

Proverbs 13:9 (New International Version)
“The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out”.

I encourage all of you now to walk worthily of your calling and shine forth G-d’s light, refracted by the wonderful facets He has crafted into each of us.
